Quest for the Sound of Truth

Guaranteed – Eddie Vedder

On bended knee is no way to be free
Lifting up an empty cup, I ask silently
That all my destinations will accept the one that’s me
So I can breathe

Circles they grow and they swallow people whole
Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they’ll never know
Got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul
And so it goes

Don’t come closer or I’ll have to go
Owning me like gravity are places that pull
If ever there was someone to keep me at home
It would be you

Everyone I come across in cages they bought
They think of me and my wandering but I’m never what they thought
Got my indignation but I’m pure in all my thoughts
I’m alive

Wind in my hair I feel part of everywhere
Underneath my being is a road that disappeared
Late at night I hear the trees they’re singing with the dead

Leave it to me as I find a way to be
Consider me a satellite forever orbiting
I know all the rules but the rules did not know me

Wilderness of Solitude

~ Wilderness of Solitude ~

Its 6 o’clock in the evening of Sunday, 15th of May of 2011, and my mind is already wandering beyond time and across spaces. I feel “I need serenity, in a place where I can hide…”; I need to get the f*** out of here. So in less than an hour I decide to go to Somnath, where I own a small home, in order to finish up some work and to have some change. I took the 8:30 night bus that dropped me at Somnath at 5:30 in the next morning in a comparatively calmer, cooler and more humid atmosphere than back at home.

Here I am, on a desolation row…

Finishing up a part of my work, the next day I went out wandering around the village and the temple area. The stronghold of the temple and the trust would put even some of the richest and most secured venues at shame. Money matters.

The Temple and The Sea-shore of Somnath

Somnath, I believe, is not a place just for Preachers… it also welcomes Philosophers, Politicians, Profiteers, Punks and Pricks. Somehow, I too feel welcome! Indeed, religion is the most influential institution for its power and control; never mind the obscuration of the hidden agendas. While these kinds of trusts generally make in millions, one can easily spot the neglect that the village of Somnath has received from the so called growth of the region. Religion is a big business, indeed.

We hear stories of the religious tourism yielding commercial benefits to the localities.

big business..

Now, does this really help local businesses? May be it does, by putting the people out of the business. Take a look at the streets of the village to know how much benefit the localities have actually received from their beloved god or religion or the government.

There used to be a nice sea-shore, often considered violent and fatal, right next to temple. The plans of the government, as shown in the pictures below, are to stretch the land artificially by some landfills and create a safe harbor between the two extensions, where people can enjoy the ocean waves.

...or a war post?!? May be the infidels are gonna pay.

Next day, in order to finish my initial work for some plans that I have, I roamed around the internal streets, carrying with me my lost faith humanity and its “still alive” naivety…

gathering some fresh and organic mangoes for friends and family…

Mangoes - the Kesar breed .. the ones I like most..

.. and I discovered something really beautiful.  🙂

Humanity is obsolete.. we need a new term..

Life is precious. Love knows no boundaries.

Unfortunately, the fate of this planet lies on the actions of the most irresponsible and selfish species one can ever encounter.

Now that I’m back at home, the deafening screams of wilderness of my solitude ended with an utter sense of beautiful reality, less humanity.

Here are some more pictures of the wilderness I enjoyed, while escaping the solitude wrapped around by this naive society.

Society… crazy indeed. 🙂

The Sun, Wilderness and Solitude...

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods;

There is a rapture on the lonely shore;

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep sea, and music in its roar;

I love not man the less, but Nature more…

Well, anyways, I’ve found a reason for me to change who I used to be… 🙂

Living Though Music, ‘Cause Life’s Worth It.

Quotes: From Into the Wild, some music I enjoyed listening during this trip and life’s learnings..

Holy Reprise

Apart from my keen enthusiasm for Astronomy, Physics & Music; I spent most of my childhood reading one of my all time favorite magazines – Safari and being astonished by the true stories it unveiled. The specialty of the magazine was its stunning representation of the fact, simple and captivating. But, truth isn’t always good.

The war stories of India with various neighbor-nations was one of its unique and best-selling concept. I’ve read most of them. But, the enjoyment of victorious battles or the sadness of defeats that came along often led to a retrospect. And, I realized that most of the wars that we engaged in ( – especially those involving India and Pakistan), were never really meant to start. Of course, the pressure and suppressed rage could never hold the fire forever. But, the roots of these all lied long long long back.. in the history of these nations.

I wouldn’t like to repeat the facts that can once again lead to the same arguments, but just highlight a simple dream that I visualized while learning these historical facts.

Can the errors be undone? How would the present have been if there wasn’t any partition? May be after some more struggle and somewhat more sustained period of pain, could we have not build one of the strongest & richest nation for us all? Where did we go wrong? What decision did we fail to execute? Why do we still have to suffer? Can not we reunite?

Here’s a small dedication, along with this belief, to all the countrymen of both nations. My attempt to recreate Pakistan’s beautiful national anthem.

Feel my dream.

One Step

Long time back I saw a song on VH1, titled “The Importance of Being Idle”. Not that I fell in love with the song, but the message was excellent. When you’ve got nothing to do, whatever your do would most probably be the reflection of your inner desire, or as Steve Jobs had put it, “…somehow your heart already knows what you want!”

Sorry for not being around much, but you may agree how difficult it is in such times… a blank and bleak state of conscience, seeking desparetely for a ray of hope. You may just not know which step it is that can take you to the destination you really desire. You may even be unaware of that desire itself.

What to do?

Well, Enigma has already sang it, in the song Goodbye Milky Way – “Follow your heart, believe in faith..”;  I strongly recommend listening to this song, for a better, bigger vision that it helps listener visualize… dream big…here’s the lyrics:

“Goodbye Milky Way”

Shall I go, shall I stay
107 light years away
many times, so many doubts
But no reason to talk about

Mission is over, mission is done
I will miss you, children of the sun
But it’s time to go away
Goodbye milky way

For a better world without hate
Follow your heart, believe in fate
Only visions and the mind
Will guide you to the light

Mission is over mission is done
I will miss you children of the sun
But it’s time to go away
Goodbye milky way

Mission is over, mission is done
I will miss you children of the sun
I go home until someday
I say goodbye, goodbye milky way

In 5 bilions years the Andromeda galaxy will collide with our milky way
A new gigantic Cosmic world will be born

So, I thought lets not think for a while, and just do… act.  🙂

And I spent some 17000 Rs. to buy a midi controller.. thinking may be its the next step. Got it yesterday! And started believing in my dream again!

When you think of what’s to gain, or to loose. When you weigh the bet, its seems its not easy. Its not meant to be. But when you think again, nothing else really matters. Everything else is secondary!

Toughest thing about any change that one desires, is to act upon it. But all it takes is a little courage, and the first few steps – One step at a time. And, to learn THIS, you got to be sitting idle for more than a while. 😉

Let’s see where does it take me.

And that’s how I live through Music!

American Idiot – Green Day [LTM]

I doubt whether we can indeed consider the current era as information age.

Now more often, more than ever, we’re simply fed with the pre-planned propaganda of politics and few masterminds through the brainstorming led by media. News is not just broadcast, but its made, twisted, or kept hidden. Only that which suits the planner’s purpose reaches us.

Current generation blindly follows the media. Takes for granted whatever is served.

Came across Green Day’s song American Idiot. Loved the way this band’s sharp remarks over the media, and the war cry to refuse the brainstorming. I quite a lot agree to the statements made in this song.

It simply fills one with passion, while still standing against the society and holding the belief one has.

LTM – Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is here! Once again. It comes and goes like a wind. And leaves me wondering what matters indeed.

I guess, its just another ordinary day with extraordinary emphasis on a feeling that is more omnipresent than the cliche of V-Day itself. It, however, reiterates the importance of this universal feeling called love.

Its not always possible to find the answers… the right answers. So, why not simply enjoy the illusions, the ecstasy and the excitement!

For that, I tried searching songs in my collection that had ‘love’ in its title, or were on my tip of tongue recently. And so here’s the list of one of my favourite Love / Valentine’s Day songs! Check out the latest love songs listed here too, which have got me buzzing for some time recently.  🙂

Love, however, is the most talked about, written about and sung about subject. This is just a gist from the shallow mist. 😛

LTM – Angels On The Moon

A retrospect of the life often helps unveil the key to fate. However, its crucial to know that neither the revelations of the retrospect nor the future so crafted matters as much as the struggle involved in the revelation. Enjoy the journey. Cherish each moment of present.

The curiosity that mystery holds is often more precious than the truth itself. Why, then, to waste the energy in futile attempt to reach the end, the dead-end, in stead of enjoying the way, the karma, the portion of life which will consume most of our time.

From my personal repository of  i.Quotes, I wanted to share a message for so long. Finally, yesterday I accidently discovered Thriving Ivory, a new artist band; and instanly fell in love with its song Angels On The Moon. A perfect treat! And if Thriving Ivory continues pouring similar passion to their work, may be it can come out as a new LP.

i.Quote: Future is secure in the hands of mystery.

So, once again, here I’m with a music and a message, ensuring my existance through music.

LTM – Where Do We Draw The Line

When a forlorn heart, filled with dreams, aspirations, emotions, thirst and hunger of love and passion, is stuck amidst insatiability & depression; a ray of shine, of hope, of faith shall emerge only from the depth of a pure conscience.

The feeling of helplessness carries tremendous burden. At such times, it becomes so essential to face the questions, and find the right answers.

This is a song again so special to me.. as it has helped me in standing up again from the odds, compelling me to do what I want while seeking what I love.. to draw my lines.

Descent is never eternal, its not THE end. But just a pause, a break long enough to help you draw your lines.

Made many resolutions for 2009.. don’t know how many I’ll follow. But, to start following one right now, I’ll share some of my beloved music with you all. Music that is close to my heart & soul.

So, here I go…

Living Through Music…

Well, its not just the new tag line I’ve chosen for my artist pages, but its rather a lifestyle I recognize having chosen for so long.

I’ll post lyrics / track names of some of my beloved music, and hope you too enjoy them!
